Our Schools Have Gone Nuts
Yes, Our schools have gone nuts. Absolutely nuts. Our schools are being run by a bunch of idiots. Just this morning, I read about a school that reneged on a veterans group to have their Veterans Day program on school property. Why? They would be carrying rifles and that highly intelligent idiot of a superintendent thought that the sight of guns would have a bad effect on the kids and their parents. Kids are sent home for shaping their fingers like a pistol. They can’t wear anything that has anything resembling a flag on their clothing. Fingernail clippers constitute a dangerous weapon. And perish the thought if a kid brings a Christian religious object to school or performs any religious gesture. And again today, I heard on the news of a school system in Florida(Orange County, I think) that will no longer give a grade lower than 50. How stupid is this? This only scratches the surface of the idiotic things done by school administrators and faculty in the name of whatever.
This was beginning to be noticeable about 30 years ago. Children began growing up over-protected, and as a result, became more wimpy. Now these people, as adults, do not have the intestinal fortitude to stand up for what is right, assuming that they are intelligent enough to know the difference between right and wrong. They have never been exposed to life outside their own little bubble, therefore they have no idea of what life is like in some other environment. They go by the set of rules that are prefaced by ‘Don’t Make Waves’. There again, no guts. And our children are still being brought up being way over-protected. Parents don’t seem to realize that the more they over-protect their children, the tougher life will be once they leave home. A child needs to know reasonable degrees of freedom. Without this freedom, they feel their parents have no confidence in them. But they still need to be loved, helped with their school tasks, given a deep Christian exposure, defended when right, and punished when wrong. Boys need a certain amount of rough-housing with other boys, even if it occasionally ends up in a slug-fest. Quite often, these slug-fests create closer friendships than before. Our girls need a somewhat similar exposure, but with a little less rough-housing and a little more feminism.
The reason I was harping on raising kids is that eventually our children may grow up better prepared for life than they are now. I feel like it is going to take a new generation of adults who have had a broader exposure to the world around them with stronger wills before we really begin to see a change in the way schools are being run.
Nuff said for today. Bye
